[AGL] Frida devotion may be a health hazard, Say what?

Oh, Mike's just provoking conversation. As to Frida Kahlo, there is a wealth of art, pain, and - well, almost soap opera life detail. Not to mention fabulous clothes and jewelry. I want a carnelian necklace just like the one that Diego put around her neck.

Freida Miller is one of those people who acts upon her fantasies - she wanted to live and work in Mexico, so she did. She said she started out in the northwestern corner of the country, teaching, I believe. Decided that area was much too hot, so she found the little village in Oaxaca, where we visited her. Got a position at a university there, and built a house - and when she tired of it, she sold the house and moved to Oregon.

C'mon Mike,
Surely you recognize that Frida was a poster child for miracle recoveries. I wasn't completely aware of the extent of her trauma from the two by four until I saw Salma's movie. Wow! It made a true believer outta me--how the body can recover from something like that! What does such an awareness have that would make someone in any way vulnerable? Who do you know that suffered from Frida worship? What happened to them that makes you say such a thing?
Best,
Frances

As a woman, isnt it dangerous to your health and mind-set to be a Frida
devotee? I am referring to the trolley car wreck and the succession of
medical procedures which she endured/sought out(?) throughout the rest of
her life, weaving them into her art.

On another subject, do you imagine that Frida Miller was drawn to live out
her life in Mexico to some degree because of the commonality of their names?
