[AGL] Figi House, Casino Royale--LBJ took the IRT down to Main Street USA, when he got there what did he see, the youth of America on LSD

Y'all,
I'm so accustomed to seeing Michele Mason's posts that I thought I was reading her reminiscences, aghast that she woulda sold the togistas herb! Was aware of LSD use at Campus Guild! Or had been into fencing! I didn't snap to the reality that it was Micael instead of Michele until I just read Jon's post in reply mentioning Dolph Brisco. Jeez!
It is interesting to learn about generations of UT students--how many of the ghettoites had parents who had attended UT, who was whose roommate and so forth. The political pressures on us were intense. I loved LBJ and hated the war. I worshipped Sissy Farenthold and my dad was county co-ordinator for Dolph. That period was politically difficult.
Speaking of Bill Narum I think he is having an art event coming up soon. His lovely girlfriend invited me at Kerry Awn's opening but I lost the paper it was printed on. I hope someone in the know will publish the details here on the list.
Best,
Frances

Micael-- Are you speaking of Doph Briscoe, onetime governor of Texas? As a
child, age about 14, I spent a pleasant time recuperating from the
notorious Mexican "tourista bug" at his family's desolate ranch in South
Texas. This was the only time I ever "went Texas," but I was unfortunately
unable to climb aboard any gigantic longhorn steers or rope any broncos as I
was sick as a dog the whole week.
