Wow!
Frances Morey, Defender of ....of......Good Things!
What a wretched thing to hav happen. Now you understand why many people think the our "justice" system is a joke. ha.
You were resolute, even brave to have acted the way you did.
You were also culpable and gullible beyond the pale. So very glad all you lost was time and credit cards!
Go, Frances!

Why aren't all Offenders GPSed? When they aren't, a credit card paper trail will do. I am prepared to go before the grand jury to have this jerk re-incarcerated for a few years.
My bad experience was yesterday evening. My wallet was stolen by an excon who was scamming me into thinking he was with a visiting drum and buggle corps from Oklahoma State University with an "emergency," it's too long a story for right now. This hell of a mess has used up hours of my time that I would much rather have spend at more pleasant pursuits. Not many victims are able to locate the offender. The police thanked me for doing their work.
The perp started using my debit cards as credit cards (not needing a pin number) immediately and I was able to locate him because, in trying to pick up a female clerk at the convenience store where he charged $73.74 worth of beer and stuff for a party. He wrote down his name, address, cell phone, room number at the Hotel Vegas (a flea bag hole if ever there was one) and the code for her to let herself in. Imagine his surprise when his "visitors" were the police there to arrest him. The cops thought it was great that I had done their job for them, locating the perp and all. Still there is still a mountain of work to be done, canceling and retreiving all my wallet cards. Without money, identity, and all the etc. of the cards I carried, I am in a sorry state.
Frances
