Hi Gerry:
Sad to hear about your friends wife. Your right, they are typical of the majority but they don't have much access to information. Give or recommend this book "Beating Cancer With Nutrition" by Patrick Quillin. He is a Phd. educated nutritionist with extensive work experience in treating cancer patients in cancer hospitals. Unfortunately for your friend, he says that he has never seen a smoker get better. The book has information on which supplements work best with the many different chemos. Even has a recipe section by his wife. Also, give her my email.

I was thinking that beta glucan might be good for you, I hope you let us know your experience in a few months.
Aloha,
Ewie

  Ewie,
Your message came in at the same time I was ordering supplements...so I ordered a bottle of Glucan to go with the others which I have settled upon over the years. Keeping a healthy immune system is priority number one. Always willing to get a little more edge when possible. Thanks for the tip.

The wife of my mechanic had serious surgery earlier this year to remove tumors. She has been taking chemo. Recently some spots showed up again. She would like to do something drastic but seems unable to change her diet or to quit smoking. I believe her predicament is quite common. Many people just can't change personal habits no matter what the diagnosis and no matter that they know they are killing themselves. In this woman's case, she has a 12 year old boy who will no doubt grow into his teen years without a mother. Their grocery shopping includes trips to the super makets in Deming where everything is dirt cheap, and of the absolute poorest quality. She confessed to me that she has never been inside the health food coop in Silver City which is the local host for quality food.

Thank God for Astrology which for me explains why some of us are always trying for optimum health, sacrificing when necessary to follow the most promising course and why others cannot accept the reality of nature, believe there is a medical silver bullet that will save them in the long run, and ignore responsibility for their well being.

Our autumn this year is sensational, colors your camera would die for. I pity those who drive by it and ignore it instead of stopping to revel in it. A close association with natural time is one of the best medicines.

  Diggin' it in NM,
  G
