Subject: ROBOT BARTENDER

Bill decided to try out a new high-tech bar that his friends had been
telling him about. He grabbed a stool and noticed that the bartender was a
robot. The robot whirred, clicked to attention, and asked, "Sir, what will
you have?" "A martini, please." The robot mixed the best martini the Bill
had ever had. Then, robot then asked, "Sir, what is your IQ?" Bill answered,
"Oh, about 164." The robot engaged Bill in conversation about the theory of
relativity, interstellar space travel, and the latest in medical
breakthroughs. Bill was impressed. The following evening, Bill decided stop
by the bar again. The robot whirred, clicked, and asked what he would have.
"A martini, please." As it was the night before, the martini was superb.
Predictably,the robot asked, "What is your IQ, sir?" Bill thought he'd try
something different and this time answered, "Oh, about 100." The robot
launched into a discussion of the latest NASCAR news, basketball scores, and
the baseball teams heading into the playoffs. Bill was fascinated and
decided to return yet again the following evening. Bill ordered his martini
and, as expected, the robot asked him his IQ. This time Bill mustered his
best southern drawl and said, "Uh... 'bout 50." The robot whirred, clicked,
bent over the bar leaning very close to Bill, and painstakingly slowly
enunciating every sound asked, "A-r-e y-o-u-r p-e-o-p-l-e g-o-i-n-g
t-o v-o-t-e f-o-r a R-e-p-u-b-l-i-c-a-n a-g-a-i-n?"
