[AGL] Where to live?

michele;
You keep bringing this subject up but you don't have much criteria for what
you want. If you want cool misty days you might think about Volcano,
Hawaii - they have cool and lots and lots of misty days but lots of
earthquakes too, but they don't really bother anybody. Then there is
Alaska. Southeast Alaska is nice, has both cool and misty and is not as
cold as the rest of Alaska (generally about 5-10 degrees cooler than
Seattle). It is also about the same latitude as England and about the same
winter lows as England. Alaska has the best fishing and hunting if you like
that.

Last week I sent a report on a location in the Netherlands where you could
buy a small house for 20-50K USD and pay only 200 a month rent. The
Netherlands is a nice liberal country and so many people speak English you
would be able to get by. Mexico is nice but not as cheap as it used to be.
Labor is still cheap so you could hire somebody to take care of your needs
for a very reasonable price and drugs are a lot cheaper. Mexico is close to
Texas so your sons would be able to visit without much difficulty. My
favorite place is San Miguel de Allende - nice town, good climate, lots of
cultural activities for entertainment, lots of American senior citizens for
friendship - only negative is the price of real estate but you can still
rent a small place for $250-300 or buy a small condo for $150K or maybe a
little less. Go visit.
Aloha
Ewie

Thanks Gerry, I'm just a bit afraid of Mexico, earthquakes, and I do
want cool, misty days. mm
