fantastic letter, letting it all hang out, raising ever so many questions.

early in the history of AGL Ed Guinn was subscribed, so was Wali,
Porterfield may be reading the list. I dont know for a fact that
he does but an email address of his doesnt bounce messages so it
still exists. otherwise impossible to know one way or another.

Fontaine also used to be a subscriber but she left in a huff. Houston's
wife Dian Donnell is subscribed and although Houston doesnt do computers
she does. even posts here occasionally.

you learnt "one good lesson that summer" but you dont tell us what it
was. perhaps we too could learn the lesson unless its too late and
applies only to you.

that summer my sister-in-law and Martha Hartzog also went to NY.
Did you know Miss Hartzog? (aka Wonder Wart-hog)

oh how i wish Janis J had ever sung out my name in a Bowery bar!

Jaxon sung out my name at his coming back to Austin bar bash
(Soap Creek), this would have been in the late 70s????

very nice to have one's name sung out in a bar: a pleasant alterity
to the usual sense of alienation.

type with you soon.

Hey! Its Wali! I'm on the list. Where you be? What's goin on in your
life? I miss you. Michele
coltrane at ev1.net Did you ever record? Now I could contribute a bit.
I remember Houston(sp?) and Gary White up top. Of course I saw Janis
and Freda(sp?) down at Powell's. Porterfield and Ed G had the attic at
a house about 27th?—bought a dump truck of peyo and cooked forever to
cap and support themselves in New York trip '64?—Worlds Fair that yr.
Fontaine(sp?) and I went up later. I learned at least one good lesson
that summer. Also Bob V showed up... Ah, memories. Oh, saw Janis in a
Bowery(sp?) bar—she got skinny—couldn't believe someone would yell my
name in a bar in NY. Well, I'm off subject. All be well and all be
well.
