If had been strictly up to Cheney and his "Texas friends", I am sure that there would be nothing whatsoever in the so-called Texas Press.  Had he shot and killed a "beater" who was, let us speculate, a "non-green-card" individual, the Secret Service would likely have buried the body in six feet of quick lime and walked away.  Of course, this is mere speculation and I am sure our beloved Veep is truly a kindly and caring individual who daily prays...or preys...for the souls of those who are now dead because of his....judgment.

What is it now, 2200 and rising?   Who cares if these kids die,  but let a GOP lawyer get shot and ....oh my.

Great Molly Ivins column today on same subject.  She said Whittington was actually human from time to time.  She is in a better position to know than I.

  After all the crap this administration has dished out it would be only too strange if this becomes the flap that calls them to task, specially if the guy dies. Surely there has to be some "turning point" when the country decides "Enough is Enough."
