It wasn't Paul Simon, it was Peter (the tall one) of Peter, Paul and Mary
and they met on a plane. She moved
in with him into his grand apartment on Central Park West and eventually
moved out again. Paul is/was a serial
child abuser (he's the smaller one who twinkles). Mary Travers has become a
fat mama. When she was 16
and, for too brief a period, my girlfriend, she stood 5'10" and had a great
built. She also had a collie dog and
she and her step-sister lived in adjoining bedrooms in the basement of an
early 19th century townhouse in the
West Village said to have been built by John Jacob Astor with her mother and
her then husband, a French
diplomat.

As for Paul Simon he has been married 3x, currently to Edie Bricknell, but
never to Sidney Brammer, alas.
