Wayne,
Here's a tip to save money when buying lipitor and other drugs. Get your
doctor to prescribe the largest dose of the drug. And buy it from
www.drugstore.com. They bragged in an email to their customers recently that
their everyday prices are lower than any of the new Medicare plans for
seniors. Drugstore.com sells Lipitor in 10mg pills ($65 for a month), 20mg
pills ($94), 40mg pills ($94), and 80mg pills ($94). My prescription
specifies 80mg pills, take 1/8 of a pill daily. In actual practice, my
doctor having pointed out that Lipitor takes 48 hours to flush out of the
system, I take 1/4 pill every other day. So Lipitor costs me $11 a month.
The other pills are generics and cost pennies. Probably cost less than
Gerry's ingredients despite their ugly names.
We spend way more on coffee than anything else.
Mike
