[AGL] update on Dad

Hello there everyone,

I'm at Dad's on his computer. Just wanted to say thanks again for all 
the emails and thoughts and to give an update. Dad is pretty groggy 
today. Yesterday they performed a procedure where they go into the 
lungs and suck out the infection - both of his lungs were filled with 
puss and they sucked it all out. I saw before and after pictures and 
x-ray and the after looks great. They are hoping to start slowing 
stepping him down from the oxygen today or tomorrow, but it's going to 
take a few days. This is a good step toward getting better. He is still 
awake, knows what's going on and is able to write even though he's been 
heavily sedated for the last couple of days, which the nurses told me 
is completely out of the ordinary! They can't believe he's awake much 
less thinking enough to write things down, not 10 minutes after they 
performed the procedure yesterday. I will let you all know when he's 
off the respirator.
