Plenty of wood is around - you might consider buying something very old -
furniture, carving, whatever, just to salvage the wood content.

New wood is around but you have to hunt for it. Google up the wood
products of Indonesia to see what we grow. Anything you find is available,
for a price - and a diligent hunt.

Regarding your cutting up plans, there are plenty of energetic carvers
around here, lots of wood - the main thing you need is time to execute
whatever plan you cook up. Nothing happens quickly, or without glitches.

(running with the monks).

I am making money writing glowing stuff about wretched picturesque modern
