i am sharing these details because you might want to buy
stuff on Ebay.
i sniped and failed, bidding $61.66 (at the last minute),
there were 3 of us sniping. The other bidder who failed
bid $65. the winning bidder bid somewhere north of
$66, say $80, but the Ebay system allows her to pay just
$1 more than the top losing bid.
using the "completed" command in Advanced Search,
you can see what previous stuff went for.
as Carolyn Garner pointed out, you have to watch out
for excessive shipping cost from sleaseball sellers.
check the sellers' ratings closely and mefiez-vous as
they say in Frog.
almost 100% of sellers accept credit card purchases
through PayPal which was invented to suck off Ebay.
Ebay finally bought PayPal and paid through the nose
for it, not having thought of it first. On the other hand,
it was probably better for their image to buy PayPal
rather than to start it up themselves.
