Dear Cookbook-L

I seek guidance, sources, info on developing a period interpretation for
a 1940s postwar dinner party. I am the new curator of a wealthy
Southeast Texas oil/cattle family home. We have fantastic cookbooks,
diaries of the period belonging to the McFaddins and the Wards. Still,
if anyone from the list has any advice on or off list, please let me
know.
