I remember very well the aesthetic and community concerned opposition when
they first planned those beasts for lower Manhattan. It was truly
architorture, business in-your-face arrogance, and they contributed about
as much aesthetic appeal as a couple of aluminum bars.

I wonder if anyone has surveyed all the thousands of people who, about
this time of year, must be secretly enjoying all that sunshine they were
denied by monster shadows, since 1970.

Good riddance, I say.

And I've had the same thought about all the wailing and gnashing: American
cars kill 4,000 a month and nobody wants to go bomb Detroit or Dearborn.

Hippie-krits.
