four more years? say it ain't so!

<P><BR><BR></P>Mike-- I'm trying to get used to the four more years syndrome although maybe it's too early to &nbsp;be sure. People may hate Bush passionately, but the problem is, nobody is passionate about being for John Kerry. It's partly his shifting and confusing &nbsp;positions (just how is he different from Bush on the war, for instance), but a lot of it is his lackluster, humorless&nbsp;personality. The other thing is that the Republicans have done a very keen job of turning Kerry into a big joke, much as they did with Dukakis-- he likes to windsurf, he uses big words,&nbsp;he flip-flops, he's just a one time war boat captain, not a real "commander in chief" type, &nbsp;he thinks we're not "sensitive" enough in Iraq and Europe,&nbsp; he's too negative,he's just a rich guy slumming in politics, etc, etc.&nbsp; Kerry can turn things around a little&nbsp;with taking some firm stands, getting out some stronger ads, etc., and maybe he and John Edwards can outdebate Bush and Cheney--but I'm not that optimistic right now.</DIV>
