No one in Washington, including probably Wolfowitz and Perle really gives a
rat's ass about Israel as anything other than a useful military tool for the
US in the Middle East. The US has no, repeat no, track record of ever
making any kind "moral" or "ethical" decision regarding a Jewish state
after Truman's original recognition. We like 'em there because they do our
"dirty work" for us. So very convenient and we can pretend we are so
concerned. We support their (most excellent) Universities because US and
British companies can enjoy their graduate students in high-tech industries.
(Known a bunch of 'em.) But if we were talking about Mali or the Ukraine,
we wouldn't send 'em the time of day.

It's all about oil, baby. Nothing else. Nothing else since WW1.

Hyper-hypocracy of the First Water.
