Mike--yes, you are right on this--- Sartre is a case in point-- when the
Jews were down and out he and other European leftists supported them, and
Sartre wrote about the evils of anti-semitism; later on , after Israel
became a powerful state armed to the teeth, the Jews were demonized. Here's
a good what if scenario: what if Israel just blew up its walls, junked its
tanks and barbed wire, opened its borders wide--- how long would Israel
survive then?
