Baron B Black.
Came across this olde message of yours and I thought I would say something
to you. "Creative problem solving" is much more important to being a good
engineer than solving differential equations. Math helps, of course, but so
much is done now and has been done in the past by computers, calculators,
etc. that it wasn't that critical in many fields. Electrical engineering,
where so much work is done with "imaginary vectors" is an exception.
Elsewhere, figuring out things and having some *god damn imagination* was
the best thing to have. GDI, sadly, is what most engineers miss.
Anyway, you would have made an excellent engineer in many, many fields.
