me too. however if the first person transcribes errors, those errors are repeated as gospel. this is to say, not you are wrong, but i question the accuracy of what passes for "the" lyrics. my ear hears different words here and there. haven't had a chance to sit down and compare but the ambiguity remains interesting, esp. in the case of someone who uses his voice as an instrument as much as van does. 

there are hilarious examples of misheard lyrics.
