I had this same notion some time ago. Hindu dogma asserts that powerful
attraction, either positive or negative, may determine your next
incarnation.

When I was in Japan in the early to mid-1960s I was surprised to see how
"western" the younger people were looking and acting. While part of this
could be attributed to diet (more meat and dairy products etc.) there was
more. I think it was because they had been American soldiers killed in the
Pacific War, whose hatred of the Japanese sentenced them to come back and
give it a try themselves as a Nipponeezer.

Same goes for the Germans and the Jews. Sharon, Moshe Dayan, Golda Meir
and that bunch were too old to have been real Nazis, but as for the ones
now running the show -- why not?

You are doomed to repeat the melodrama until you get it down pat. Then you
can do it and walk away from it. Also good Buddhist belief.
