an essay on language

Wayne,
Even as a teenager I couldn't understand the words of most popular songs so I used to buy those music magazines that had them all printed out. As songs got less and less literate even these publications disappeared.
Once I saw a very old ugly stump of a man with two drop-dead gorgeous women on each arm as they had emerged from his most expensive new Cadilac. I questioned who the guy was and was told that he was the owner of the taco stand that had been at 1st and Congress, and he had sold for over a million dollars to make room for the high rise now on the site.
Mike,
Who, pray tell, was the Nobel Prize winner whose comments were in Byron's language post?
Wayne,
What was the Ted Turner revelation? Inquiring ghetts want to know.
Frances
