Ranger staff.  The article does say that he worked for
KPFT (Pacifica Houston).  He is wielding a large
influence in Houston, spinning the 'smart growth'
concept, and gaining followers.  He (his planning
firm) has put together a great central park like
pedestrian area in a once blighted but now improving
area called 'midtown' Houston where our new light rail
line will pass thru. The money is gonna get there for
it.

I like working with him, he has a clear vision, and he
doesn't care what the big automobile
roads-and-highways guys think about it.
