Yeah, as long as Saddam is alive...and spending lots and lots and lots of
Iraqi money on French imports, why would the French want to have a regime
change? If you can't have colonies, you can have economic satrapies, right?
Anyone notice the "tightening up" of the situation in the former French
Congo?
Saddam is still a rat of the first class...and anyone who thinks Jerry Lewis
and the Three Stooges are the highest form of American humor should be locked
up and denied quiche, truffles, duck Leonardo and Dom Perignon for the rest
of *their* lives.
This is *not* about "humanitarian" or even "war" concerns, this is about the
French export and balance of trade business. As soon as the US agrees to
prop up what might be lost (and guess who will end up paying for this
blackmail?) France will cheerfully sip and muse and nod while American kids
die.
