in my humble opinion, Bush is neither stupid nor addled. 
He is profoundly uneducated and incurious. and his
view of things is that of your friendly local church-going
banker 

the real question is is he a born gambler? willing to
gamble that an Iraq adventure will turn out all right
and get him re-elected. i sense that the answer is YES
