tomorrow we can only hope that Bush will
fall flat on his face

by which i mean let him trot out all his
sanctimonious grease but NOT prove his
case

he CANT prove his case because the Iraqis
have disposed of their nasty armaments

imagine trying to make a case that the
Iraqis didnt do the paperwork which usually
would accompany getting rid of stuff

according to the pollsters he does NOT
have the civilized world's approval including
the US, thus his hands may be tied

unless he is an impulsive ex-binge drinker
and has already committed to war to his inner
circle

Powell can say with a straight face that
the president does not desire war, but he
may be really expressing his Powell's own
opinion

like some other ex-alcohol abusers, Bush is
not necessarily excluded from thinking and acting
soberly in later years

Saddam has become a danger only to individual
Iraqis, which is permitted to various small
country tyrants, so there is NO casus belli

as Saddam will not accept exile, it looks like
he finessed his risk by getting rid of the nasty
stuff. what a guy!
