JW Watson

Does anyone remember a Jim or JW Watson? He claims to "own" the recording
of the 1966 (65?) Teodar Jackson benefit which included two or three songs
by Janis just before she joined Big Brother, as well as Mance, Ken
Threadgill, Bill Neeley, Powell and I, John Clay, The Elevators, and more.
I produced the event and had someone from our group record it, but I can't
remember who. The above Mister Watson won't let me hear the tape until he
completes his dealing with Laura Joplin. I don't remember Mister Watson.
If anyone remembers that concert at the Methodist Student Center, please let
me know. Roger devised a bubble machine for a light show (Austin's
first?). Jim Langdon and I emceed and it was a great succeess. We ended up
raising enough money to pay for Teodar's last expenses, and the show was
probably the best representation of the early Austin music scene. Can
anyone help me here?

BTW- I'm doing great with my radiation treatments, except that I set off
Geiger Counters and it is given me a plethora of zits on my neck. Cause of
cancer? I haven't smoked cigarettes since 1982, butt maybe a lifetime of
smoking the noble herb may have something to do with it.

Best to all,
Tary
