<DIV></DIV>>Just a reminder that there is something more than war and peace. Attached is a photo of Mi Lo Fo, the Chinese Laughing Buddha (Maitreya Buddha - the Buddha of the future epoch). Location: North Pagoda Temple, Suzhou, China. Mi Lo Fo will be the Buddha of the future and I wish he would hurry up and get here. He is also called He of the Hemp Bag for he is always depicted as carrying a large hemp bag on his back. He modeled on an actual monk of the 10th century.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>"He carried a hemp bag where ever he went. Into this bag was deposited whatever he received, and for this reason the bag became an object of intense curiosity, especially among the children. they would chase him and climb all over him, and force him to open his bag. On such an occasion he would place the bag on the ground, empty the contents one by one, and just as methodically put them back into the bag. Once a monk asked him about his bag, to which he replied by placing it on the ground. When ask what this meant, he shouldered the bag and went away. Once he was asked how old the bag was, and he replied that it was as old as space. Was he a Chan (Zen) master or just an illiterate monk?"

<DIV></DIV>>"Mi-lo, true Mi-lo
<DIV></DIV>>Reborn innumerable times
<DIV></DIV>>From time to time manifested to men
<DIV></DIV>>The men of the age do not recognize you."
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>"The big belly is capable to contain,
<DIV></DIV>>it contains all the things under Heaven which are difficult to contain.
<DIV></DIV>>The broad face is inclined to laugh,
<DIV></DIV>>to laugh at the laughable men on earth."
