I can only recommend that you NOT linger near WTC for extended periods of
time and, if you live persistently downwind, you consider buying a
electrostatic/HEPA air cleaning machine of the type asthmatics use.  These
are no guarantee, of course, and you can hardly lug it out to the local
Deli.  Good hardware stores sell industrial "vapor" masks which are fairly
good, although cumbersome (sp?) and not exactly high fashion statements.
Sad business.
