For those of you who no longer get your news via the printed word, I relay
this blurb from today's ASS--er, AAS--on old Ranger/Riata Era guy, Dave
Hickey:
PROFESSOR WINS FELLOWSHIP
   "Austin -- A University of Texas graduate is among 23 MacArthur Fellows
named to receive $500,000 over five years to further creative pursuits.
   Dave Hickey, 62, is an art ctitic, historian and professor at the
University of Nevada-Las Vegas.  He received his master's degree from UT
Austin in 1963.
   The MacArthur Fellows Program is intended to encourage people of
outstanding talent to pursue their work.  The money is awarded to the
individual.  Recipients may be writers, scientists, artists, teachers or
activists and do not have to be affiliated with an institution."

Way to go, Dave!!!  How do the rest of us get on this Gravy Train???  jaxon
