the end game?

It's an end game, alright Mike! But for whom? and When? and Where?
When I read "end game," I can't help but think of Beckett's great play, 
casting Bush and Cheney in the lead roles. And the two crotchety olf folks 
hiding in the garbage cans? Why just us ordinary citizens--US and  and 
Afghani.
