Yes, Thank you Roger,
(For being out there and against the bombing. I spotted Roger this morning
on Channel 8 news.) I appreciate the sentiments you are standing up for in
person and know that it takes guts to appear to disagree with the prevailing
winds of opinion.
After seeing the Civil War series by Ken Burns I was for once and for all
educated at the idiocy of war--lining up men on two sides, armed, and having
them eliminate one another over an idea or ideology. It solves nothing and
only inflicts ugly death and pain. I once heard, maybe in a movie or on tv,
that wars continue until one side does something so reprehensible that both
simply give up the conflict. How could we be effected by night bombings
reported with static filled black screens?
It is perhaps the final idiocy. Maybe this will be the war to end all wars,
because they are stupid and solve nothing.
Frances
