I'm proud of all you guys who did your bit for our country. I'm sure if
I'd been eligible for the draft, I would have fled to Canada rather than go
to Viet Nam. But I'm not averse to the concept that the USA needs to be
protected by military force. I think all of us need to be grateful for the
freedom, prosperity and overall peacefulness of our lives, and that
includes Roger, who seems not to appreciate any of these benefits of living
in our homeland.

I agree with telebob that the recent events represent a totally different
situation than Viet Nam. Hey, they attacked us right here in broad
daylight! If that's not a call to action, then I don't know what is! Of
course, the fundamental question is--what action is appropriate. I'm
hoping someone up there in Washington has the right idea, and it aint the
dubya bushwhacker and probably aint the cheney chin chin. I'm pinning my
hopes on Rumsfeld and/or Colin Powell. But this makes me very, very
nervous since almost all the domestic policies have been so greedy and
wrongheaded from this administration.
