Forget it Jake - I mean Jack ....it's Chinatown.

Louis is a nasty climbing sneak. He is a bully to those weaker and a
sycophant to those above him.

My grievances with him are as big as yours...but I just quietly wait for my
chance to shank him. You may not remember what he did to my little Zilker
Park Carousel proposal, but after trashing the idea by one of his minions,
he refused me an opportunity to rebut, under the same excuse. No room, no
room! He is is total weasle and he has only succeded because he knows how
passive, indolent, and timid Nick Barbaro is. Nick rides on Louis's anxiety
driven energy...and they like it that way just fine....

If Nightbyrd and others had been able to hold on with the Austin Sun...back
when....then they would be the ones owning a $10 million dollar asset.
Positioning is everything...well, most everything. Capital and energy help,
but without having the high ground, everything gets twice as hard. Note the
difficulty other alternative pubs have competing with the Chron for the
advertisers.... tough stuff.

Louis survived because he knew the only person in the world who would put up
with him was Nick...and why even Nick put up with him is beyond me. Louis
recognized that the Chronicle was probably the only train that was ever
going to stop for someone like him.

But like an old pal used to say...

Never mind the weather....just let the wind blow.
