Eloquently put Roger, and I couldn't agree with you
more.

Green Party BS, but ok I'll read the link to the GP
statement

I think 93% of the country appears to support GW right
now.

Ok, honest enough. But don't shut up Rog. I read your
stuff, I read my own sources, Bob Simmons posted some
good links, Michael E and Bubba have espoused some
theories, I read daily events in the papers, listen to
Colin Powell and the rest talk talk talk. I'm rivited
by the roving reporters interviews with the hungry,
war weary Afgans; hugely disturbed by the treatment of
women by the Taliban that Frances has reminded us of.
I'm hurt, deeply hurt by the wound to our great
melting pot city. I'm like Carol and
Fontaine...distracted and way behind on my work and
here I sit reading and typing in yahoo because it
helps. It helps for you and Baldouf and tele to
criticize and make me think, I can take it. Although
sometimes sarcasm hurts.
We all know that you and I feel the same. The US is
too dependent on mideast oil, and that greedy
capitalists (enterprising business) will do anything,
anywhere, stop at nothing, to get at a good source to
feed our habit for fuel. Would I rather that Alaska
get drilled? No, I want people to need cars less. You
know that. So the question at this time is would I
rather live in a world dominated by capitalists raping
and pillaging to meet market demands, or would I
prefer to be dominated or terrorized by religious
fanatics.
You and Baldouf, tele, Michael E, Jon Ford, and many
others on this list are debaters out of my league. At
heart, I am a wuss. I've acquiesced way too much in
my life. But I can and do think for myself, so don't
think that I can't form opinions of my own, or don't
have ability to critique just because I have aligned
myself with a decrepid established political party,
and go to a mundane job everyday.
I may be wrong, but I'm not ready to join the
protestors. I followed Carol over to the earthflag web
site to get an earth flag. I hope to find solace in
flying it along side the red, white and blue.
Keep it up please Bruto, but expect some flak...
Peace,
Olive Oyl
