Jon, I just knew this would happen. sigh. Please don't
patronize me, ok? I *live* in Spin City. I *read* the
inverview format already. I *have* insight. Just because
it doesn't comport w/ your insight doesn't make me stupid.
Yeah, it's intrusive. They're trying to catch mass
murderers. I have a lot of trouble w/ a whole lot of the
Patriot Act (which, btw, I have read, too), and the whole
civil liberties issue is very worrisome.
I'll get to the rest later. I'm turning in early. The
F-16s were noisier than usual outside my place last night.
Oh, and on another list I'm on, we've got an informal
rule: in a flame war, first person to bring up Hitler
loses. Maybe after I've been here long enough to have
proven myself, I'll make a similar suggestion re Joe
McCarthy. <wry smile>.
