Fontaine, Stephanie-- I agree with both of you-- it's important to write
something creative or listen to/watch or read something creative each day.
Lately I've been listening to Bob Dylan's "Love and Theft" two or three
times a week-- it always cheers me up. Yusef Komunyakaa's "Love and Theft"
also made my day recently--great book of poetry. For what it was like to
fight in Vietnam, read also Yusef's great book, "Dien Cai Dau" (means
"crazy" in Vietnamese) about his experiences in the war. I write a poem
about every second day, just to react to everything that's going on in this
craazy world. I'll send along one soon.
