In defense of Mike

Some have objections to Mike's unilateral decision to
de-list Laird. I perceived it to be an emergency
maneuver to head off maybe a herd of defections.
Nobody wants that. If that is what it takes to be the
listmeister, I support him.

After the heat is settled, we can discuss, as we have,
our true feelings for sharing mailbox space with
Laird. I don't know him, don't care if he is on or
off, but I havn't read anything by him that was
edifying, funny or inspiring. If he really wants to
prove himself, he should start relating some ghetto
memory stories about people we all know (knew) and
loved. A truer test.

After all, anybody can go shooting their mouths off
about blah, blah blah. So what, does that make the
speaker worth reading, or one of us, just because they
sound radical? I'm sure there are many forums you can
find on the net for so called interesting things to
say. It is free. I'm for higher standards, such as
those Roger, Baldouf, Simmons and Jon are giving us.
And Wayne, Ted, Francis, Steph, Tary, Mary Jane,
Jaxon, George, Porterfield, Dian, Karen, Harry,
Powell, Mary Ann, Monty/Judy, Wali, Foxy, Clark, Wiz,
Fontaine, Carol, Packy, Cliff, Ed, Hersh, Charlie,
Dave, Travis, Fred, Gilbert, Gerry, Linda, Ramsey and
Mike.

Onward thru our foggy minds,
Oat Connie
