Starting with Argus

Hey Fabrice,
The -C method is deprecated in argus-3.0.6.x, and you should use the " -S cisco://address:port " to get cisco records.
Don't use the " -d " option when running ra unless you are writing the output to a file or pipe or something.
The " -d " option will close stdout and stderr, and you will not get any output.
Because you are having problems, you should compile all your tools with debug and developers support, to help with debugging.
To compile with debug and devel enabled, do this in the clients root directory:
% touch .devel .debug
% make clobber
% ./configure
% make
Now your programs will print out debug information, when you have problems, by adding a "-D x" option.
Increase the value of x to get more information. A " -D 2 " is a good starting point.
When you get to this point, run your program like this:
ra S cisco://IPAddress:3000 -D2
And lets see what you are getting,
Carter
