rasplit Starts On Wrong Day

Just downloaded the beta 7 release and I see strange rasplit behavior 

rasplit -r /var/log/argus/sync/mel/fw1/2009/05/16.gz /var/log/argus/sync/mel/fw1/2009/05/17.gz /var/log/argus/sync/mel/fw1/2009/05/18.gz -t 2009/05/17 -M time 1d -w /tmp/mel/%Y/%m/fw1.%d - ip 

I'm getting 2 files 

fw1.16 containing data for the 17th > 09:59 am 
and 
fw1.17 containing data for the 17th from 10:00 to 23:59
