Announcing Periscope 0.10.0 alpha

  Hello all,

I am posting about an open-source project called Periscope. It complements
the current crop of Argus clients, such as ra, ragrep, rastream, and ragraph
by providing a clean and intuitive web interface to statistics generated
from Argus and Cisco NetFlow flow data.  The current alpha release of
Periscope supports multiple user logins, customized user traffic reports
based on subnet and VLAN filtering, and a completely web-based
configuration.  We are currently working on tuning performance for Gigabit
networks and adding support for reports stored in a PostgreSQL database.

While Periscope is not yet ready for a production release, it is in active
development and we would very much like some early feedback on the UI, the
usefulness of statistics currently generated, and on any features you may be
interested in being implemented.  Periscope currently performs well in
100Mbps environments, and we hope to get it working well on 1 Gigabit
networks in the coming weeks.
