new small memory argus and clients

	Would an interrupt that causes a core be a useful thing in the case
like now where the argus is apparantly hung? Is there a way to cause a core
on a kill -9? That might at least tell us where it is when it gets unhappy.
I'll likely kill -9 and restart with a -D 2 or so and see what happens.
