Argus client 3.0 porting

Under the version 2 line I had used one of the clients as a model and 
created a new client for loading a mysql database with the data items I 
was interested in. Before I start from scratch on the 3.0 version I was 
wondering there was a better way with the packaged clients or had 
someone else already done a port?
