problem with two daemons writing to one file

Hi All:
 I am moving argus2.0.5 to a faster, more powerful Dell
machine and running into a very peculiar problem. Just
wonder if anyone has seen this problem before.
On the old machine, when starting argus,  there are three processes of
argus running and one writing to the output file. On the new
machine, there are four processes of argus and two of them
writing to the output file. This makes impossible to cut off
the output file.  Argus is started exactly on both
machines.
