Gentle People,
Argus-2.0.5 can now be considered stable on Solaris 5.8 5.7,
Linux RH 7.x, FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE, OpenBSD 2.8, NetBSD 1.5,
and Mac OS X, and as such is officially released.
Argus-2.0.5 fixes a number of bugs, including issues with
reading Cisco Netflow records off the wire, and odd behavior
when killing a running argus server. Also included in the bug
fixes are elimination of problems with various versions of
libpcap, especially one where libpcap returned the wrong packet
length, fixes to a bug in the jitter metric determination,
modification to the permissions on output files, better
./configure support for native OS features and many small
fixes relating to porting issues with the various xBSD's.
We added a few new options to argus, such as specification
of the format of the pid file and its location. Other fixes
are described in the ./ChangeLog.
Argus-2.0.5 adds MAC OS X to its list of supported operating
systems!
Argus-2.0.5 is a significant improvement over argus-2.0.4,
so get your download today!
