difference between ra and argus output

Maybe there is a need for clarification. All the
ra* programs can write out binary records using
the -w option and the output stream is identical to that
of argus, as long as there are management records
included in the output. So, ....

   ra -r file -w output.file

will generate an output file that is identical to
what argus would generate. Whereas,

   ra -r file

generates ascii output. Not the same.
