Gentle People,
Argus-2.0.0.beta.7 is available. This final beta revision before release
modifies argus() and extends its output. Previous ra*() client should be
compatible, as this is a test of the backward compatibility support that
the new argus should have, so if you have any interest in old clients
running against newer versions of argus data, then give this a test.
There is a modification to the fragment tracking logic. This gave
us a great deal of trouble a few months back, so if we start to get
problems, we'll fall back to beta.6 for the release, with none argus()
modifications.
I now will not read bug reports unless they use the ./argusbug tool
format. I need to see if it will work, so please use this program
to report problems. We've fixed/changed these things in beta.7:
Fixed(?) Fragment tracking error.
Added Mpls and Vlan DSR parsing and filtering support.
Added Mpls and Vlan DSR value reporting support.
Modified gencode.c to support new Canonical Record format.
Finalized argus.out file to be in /var/log/argus.
Removed 'frag' protocol override and added 'f' indicator.
Fixed RaPackQueue in rasort(), ramon() and rapath().
Added debugging for rasort() RaCopyArgusRecord().
Updated man pages for web site html versions
Modified flow scheduling algorithms.
Fix ./configure for when libpcap isn't found.
And possibly a few more things, so give it a run through.
I still have final man pages to go over, so if you find an
inconsistency in the man pages, do please send me a note, ASAP.
The web site is almost ready, we should have all the content done
tomorrow, and testing starting on Wednesday, so we should have the
official release of Argus sometime this week. It won't be perfect
on day one, but hopefully everyone will like it.
Again, thanks for all the support!!!!!!!
