Gentle people,
  Thanks to all of your suggestions, and with the help
of David, we've got tarfiles, and rpm files on the
qosient.com server, for your edification.

The version will be argus-2.0, release 0.  We had 1 vote
for 2.0, not counting mine, 5 votes for 2.0.0, and 1 vote
for 2.1.0.  All the programs will print out version 2.0.0,
but the argus data files will only have 2.0.

The rpm binary was compiled with libpcap-0.6.1 and
tcp_wrappers_7.6, but no SASL.  It does a pretty
good job.  The only thing needed after an "rpm -i argus*.rpm"
is to modify the /etc/argus.conf file, and your ready to go.

The rpm installs /etc/argus.conf and /etc/ra.conf as rw-------,
so that the system confs will not interfere with users use
of the programs. (ra can't open /etc/ra.conf, so it just
continues on).

   I'll look into what it will take to generate a SASL
rpm tomorrow.

   Please do take a look at these files, and if there are
any modifications that are needed, please do send mail!!!!
