Great idea David,
I'm not excited about making these early
tarfiles generally available, as the code nor
the documentation, or lack of it, is not ready
for general consumption.
So after saying that, I have an anonymous
ftp server at qosient.com available, where I
have put the latest tarfile.
ftp://qosient.com/dev/argus/argus-2.0
Anyone interested in testing, please try
this URL out to make sure its working for you.
This supports an ./incoming directory so that
you guys can send stuff up.

May I suggest adding a beta ftp tree where you can put the files, instead
of emailing them? Though email doesn't hurt me a bit, it may help others.
I think I've seen authors sometimes use the epoch to keep track of various
releases within the same revision....
