Hey John,
   Yes, you are definitely right, I'll fix it now.
I had fixed it for 2.0 data but had not tested against
1.8 data, which has its own set of logic for reading
streams.

./ra -r arg181logfile -w outfile
still gives a memory fault if outfile does not yet exist.   (reported
fixed in 2.0.0v, but I didn't have a chance to test that version).
Didn't test with a 2.0 log file.

touch outfile
./ra -r arg181logfile -w outfile
./ra -r outfile
Now produces more output, but all but the first line is wrong.  (Dates,
IP numbers, etc.... all junk except the first man probeid line)

Could ra be confused about the version the second time through? the only
correct line is at the top, and says 1.8 even though it's been
converted...
>From a small logfile:
./ra -n -r arg181logfile | wc -l
   produces 34571
./ra -n -r outfile | wc -l
   produces 49437
